For Thompson (15-4-1 MMA, 10-4-1 UFC), the fight represents the opportunity to produce an eye-catching reminder that he’s still very much a factor at the sharp end of the UFC’s welterweight division. For Neal (13-2 MMA, 5-0 UFC), meanwhile, it’s a chance to knock over a former title contender and catapult himself into the title conversation at 170 pounds.
