US customers residing in a state where Coinbase offers service can fund their Coinbase accounts with USD via bank-wire or ACH transfers. If you want to transfer money from your wallet to a bank account after selling your bitcoin, the Coinbase app makes it as easy as transferring funds from one bank to another. Similar to conventional bank transfers or ATM withdrawals, exchanges like Coinbase set a daily limit, and it may take between a few days and a week for the transaction to. Enter the amount you wish to deposit in USD before hitting the Deposit button. Review the transaction information displayed and click to Copy the Bitcoin address provided, which you need at Coinbase. Alternatively, scan the QR code with your mobile if you use a mobile wallet for your crypto. A lot of customers hold onto their Bitcoin in the hope that its value goes up. You can store your Bitcoin in your Coinbase account or transfer it to a private wallet. Check the price of BTC.

Verify a US bank account

1. Open the trading view at pro.coinbase.com/trade
2. On the left-hand column under Wallet Balance, select the Deposit option
3. In the Currency Type field, select USD
4. Select the Bank Account tab, then select From, then select Add Account
5. You will be redirected to Coinbase.com to complete the bank account verification process

Depositing from a U.S. Bank Account (ACH)

1. Open the trading view at pro.coinbase.com/trade
2. On the left-hand column under Wallet Balance, select Deposit
3. In the Currency Type field, select USD
4. Select the Bank Account tab. If you have verified your bank account, it should be listed here under From
5. From the drop-down menu, select the verified bank account you would like to deposit from
6. Specify the USD amount for the transfer then select the Deposit USD option to confirm
   

Depositing from a U.S. Bank Account (Bank Wire)

Bank wires are available to Coinbase Pro customers who have access to USD-denominated order books.

1. Open the trading view at pro.coinbase.com/trade
2. On the left-hand column under Wallet Balance, select Deposit
3. In the Currency Type field, select USD
4. Select the Wire Transfer tab. Follow the on-screen instructions—you will need to initiate a wire transfer from your bank account to your Coinbase Pro account
5. You’ll be presented with instructions that provide either a personal account number or a unique reference code (you don’t need both) for initiating a wire transfer from your bank account
6. Please note that the name on your bank account must match the legal name on your Coinbase Pro account for the wire to be accepted

Please be careful not to send an overnight or next-day *ACH*. An actual bank wire (not overnight or next-day ACH) must be submitted when sending to our wire details.

Withdrawing to a U.S. Bank Account (ACH and Bank Wires)

1. Open the trading view at pro.coinbase.com/trade
2. On the left-hand column under Wallet Balance, select Withdraw
3. In the Currency Type field, select USD
4. Select the ACH Bank Transfer or Wire Transfer tab. If you have verified your bank account, it should be listed here under To
5. From the drop-down menu, select the verified bank account you would like to withdraw to
6. Specify the USD amount for the transfer. You are able to withdraw all of your USD by selecting the MAX option
7. Select the Withdraw USD option to confirm your withdrawal

How long will it take to deposit/withdraw from my bank account?

ACH
Purchases made using a debit card or the USD wallet are made available instantly.

When using bank transfers, the ACH bank transfer system is used for payments with your bank account. The ACH bank transfer system typically takes 3-5 business days* (which may be as many as 7-10 calendar days, depending on the timing of weekends and other bank holidays) to complete after initiating a purchase. The timing will be displayed prior to confirming your order.

You may see the funds immediately debited from your bank account when you initiate the transfer, but the funds will not be transferred to your wallet until your payment has finished moving between the banks and clears in our bank account.

After the banks have processed the transfer, the funds enter our system and you will see the money in your account sometime before the end of the estimated delivery day. This date is shown on the confirmation window when placing your order and can be located in the order confirmation email you received from us. End of the day is considered 11:59 PM PST.

Wires
Bank wire transfers may be credited to your Coinbase Pro account on the same day if submitted by 1:00 PM PT. Otherwise, funds will typically be available after one business day.

Be sure you're using your unique QR code for the correct coin to avoid any issues receiving your funds.

Receiving crypto funds

You can generate a unique address (QR code) from your Wallet to ensure the correct address. To receive supported crypto or digital assets:

1. Open Coinbase Wallet app on your mobile device
2. Tap Receive
3. Tap Share address to share unique QR code with the sender
4. You can also select Username to share your username instead

You can send supported crypto funds right from your Wallet to another Coinbase Wallet user.

You can also purchase crypto through your Wallet to send to another Coinbase Wallet user (available on a computer and iOS only).

To safegaurd against sending funds to an incorrect address, we suggest asking the Receiver for their unique QR code.

To send crypto from your Wallet

Can You Deposit Bitcoin Into Coinbase

1. Open Coinbase Wallet app on your mobile device
2. Tap Send
3. Enter the amount you'd like to send
4. Select which coin you'd like to use
5. Tap Next
6. Tap the QR code or enter the exact recipient address

Note: Coinbase does not process Wallet transactions over email. You can send supported crypto and tokens using a cryptocurrency address, Coinbase Wallet username, or ENS (Ethereum Name Service for ETH/ERC-20).

If you’re sending an ERC-20 token (eg. USDC, DAI, BAT, MKR etc.)

You will need ETH in your Coinbase Wallet account in order to pay a miner’s fee when sending this cryptocurrency. This is because ERC-20 tokens are issued on the Ethereum blockchain and transactions on the Ethereum network, such as sending ERC-20 tokens, require Ether.
